Happy Halloween Week!
On Monday we read Clifford's Halloween. Everyone had a chance to answer what we think Clifford would be for halloween next year. During center time we washed pumpkins with soapy water and toothbrushes, went on a pumpkin ABC hunt in the hallway, used halloween stamps, played with purple slime using scissors, painted with HWOT cookie cutters and played with others in the dramatic play area with our pumpkin buckets ( goals: identifying and matching alphabet letters, fine motor, sensory, taking turns and solving problems if they arise, following directions, answering questions.
Wednesday was our pumpkin patch field trip! What a perfect day it was!!
We were busy Thursday starting with the Halloween Parade at school! Everyone had such fun costumes!! Next, we went to art and gym. During gym we played BAT, BAT, SPIDER (duck, duck, goose). During circle time we listened and danced to Go Noodle, Ride the Rollercoaster. We then celebrated Arsie's birthday by reading a book called How to Scare A Monster! After that we went to the cafeteria to listen to the 5th grade strings concert. We heard a viola, violin and a cello. (goals: respectful behavior, following directions, gross motor)
